Aaron isn’t a perfect man. I know that’s hard to believe based on his chiseled jaw, great sense of humor, and kind-hearted demeanor. Truth? He makes me nutty some days. (I await the development of his own blog so he can share his thoughts with the world.)

Every morning before he leaves for work, my husband makes me a coffee and leaves it on the counter on top of a months-old, coffee-stained piece of paper with a bunch of messages on it, all geared to start my day on the right foot. That’s love, folks. 8:30 pm, on-a-hot-date, kids-at-the-sitter love is nothing. That’s for amateurs just getting started on the love game. Real love happens before 6:00 am with one kid screaming at you to let her take the waffles out of the toaster herself while the other kid is quietly entertaining himself with the toilet brush.

Happy Father’s Day to all the guys who do these little things.
